Jacobus: (Richard Sr.) had sold 26 acres on the line between Glastonbury and Hartford, 14 June 1737, to Zephaniah Hollister of Glastonbury, who sold it 27 Mar. 1738 to Jonathan Webster of Glastonbury, and on 7 Feb. 1743/4, Webster, then of Hartford, sold to Richard Keeney (Jr.) of Hartford 35 acres bounded south on land of Richard Keeney, Sr., and north on Richards (Jr.)'s own land. (Hartford Deeds 6:124, 207)
Jacobus: Richard Keeney, Jr. of Glastonbury, purchased 11 Feb. 1742/3, for £350, land on the east side of Hartford, 42 acres with a house and barn, from Thomas Loveland of Hartford, who had bought it two years before from Job Risley. (Glastonbury Deeds 5:56)
Jacobus: Richard Keeney of Hartford conveyed, 8 Oct. 1770, for love to his son, John Keeney of Hartford, part of his homelot of 21 acres, bound north on the heirs of Deacon Daniel House of Glastonbury, with half the buildings. (Hartford Deeds 15:267)
On 30 May 1777, Richard Keney of Hartford conveyed for love to his son, John Keney, land purchased of Jeduthun Smith of Glastonbury, being one-eighth of land I and my three sons (Richard, Simon and John) purchased. (Glastonbury Deeds 12: 649)
The will of Richard Keeney of East Hartford, dated 27 Jan. 1789, proved 7 July 1789, gave to his granddaughter, Mary Keeney, wife of Simon Keeney, Jr., furniture, etc. Simon Keeney Jr. gave bond as administrator. (East Windsor Conn. Probate 1782-1880, Connecticut State Library microfilm)
Gravestone, East Cemetery, Manchester, CT reads: "In Memory of Mr. Richard Keeney who died June 3 1789 in the 87th year of his age"
