Jacobus: The will of John Ashcroft of Hebron, Conn., dated 4 Apr. 1745, proved 7 Jan. 1745/6, named wife Mary, mentioning "what we have purchased since our marriage"; dau. Anne, "household stuff that was mine in her mother's lifetime"; three children, Anne, Samuel and Timothy, to share equally "excepting my present wife have another child by me and it live until aforesaid money become due, then to have an equal share"; my children that I had by my first wife, namely Abigail, John, Jedidiah and Desire, five shillings apiece, having received the bigger part of their portion already. 81
John married Mary KEENEY, daughter of Joseph KEENEY and Hannah HILLS.
