Conn. Mirror of 24 Oct 1814 calls him formerly of East Hartford Alexander Keeney of Hartford
On 9 Jan 1754 conveyed in exchange to "my Brother" Joseph Keeney of Hartford. (Hartford Deeds 8:486-489)
Orford Parish petitioned the General Assembly for the privilege of a seven months' winter parish in 1763. Passes the Lower House May, 1763. Signatories included only one Keeney, "Alexander Knee". (Spiess, "The History of Manchester" p. 48)
The proprietors of the Five Miles (Orford Parish) petitioned for a separate society which was signed and dated March 15, 1770. Now included the following Keeneys: Joseph Keney, Richard Keeney, Jr., Simon Keeney, Richard Keeney, Alexander Keney, Elijah Keeny, David Keeny, Thomas Keney, Alxr Keeney, Theoder Keeney, and John Keeney. A single "Alexander Keeney" appeared on the Tax List of Orford Parish, 1785, with assets of £10 s15 d6. (Spiess, "The History of Manchester" p. 67)
