  General Notes:

Porter Keney: Married Emily Bidwell in Glastonbury May 3, 1824 according to Glastonbury, and May 3, 1825, according to Manchester. Glastonbury also has Emily born in 1804. No actual birth or marriage certificates. Porter died in Manchester of old age. Parents not listed.

Porter provide probate bond for uncle Stephen Keeney, along with Stephen's son Arnold; 11 Aug 1840. (Hartford District Probate Files, Connecticut State Library microfilm)

Gravestone, East Cemetery, Manchester, CT reads:
"Porter Keeney died April 8, 1885 Aged 79 Yrs 9 Mos."

Summary of Probate File:
I Porter Keeney of Glastonbury in Hartford County State of Connecticut being of sound & disposing mind & memory do hereby make publish & declare the following as my last will & testament.

I direct that all of my just debts shall be fully paid & satisfied & that a suitable monument or gravestone be erected to my memory by the Executrix herewith named.

All the rest of my estate real or personal I give ____ & bequeath unto my beloved wife Emily to her & her heirs forever.

I hereby constitutue & appoint my said wife to be the Executrix of this will.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 5th day of July 1869. Porter Keeney
