Jacob2 Waterhouse (Jacob1) m. in 1690 ANN DOUGLAS, b. in 1669 d. 7 May 1713, daughter of Robert Douglas. The Diary of Joshua Hempstead (171 1—1758) has this record under the date of 7 May 1713: "I made a coffin for Anne Waterous, wife of Jacob Waterous who died last night. I stayed to ye funeral".

Jacob Waters served in King Philip's War 24 Aug. 1676, serving under Capt. Joseph Sill with credits of 00.07.08. (Bodge, Indian Wars, p. 273.)

Jacob and Ann had the following children:

  1. John;

  2. William

  3. Robert
  4. Joseph b. 7-6-1705, d. 5-7-1785; Had a son Nathaniel b. 1732, who was father to Jonathan Waterhouse.

  5. Gideon

In 1734 John was of Groton, William, Robert, Joseph, and Gideon were all of New London. (New London Land Records, 10:151.)
